Take in Some Culture at Bobby Sanabria MultiVerse Big Band’s “West Side Story Reimagined” on January 18
Fans of American theater won’t want to miss the Bobby Sanabria MultiVerse Big Band’s West Side Story Reimagined at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts on January 18. This show was a 2019 Grammy®–nominee for Best Latin Jazz Album, and it reimagines the classic American musical West Side Story.
Percussionist and bandleader Bobby Sanabria and his MultiVerse Big Band perform their own Latin-infused take on the musical’s famous songs during West Side Story Reimagined. Bobby Sanabria will sign CDs following the 7 p.m. performance in the States Gallery outside the Terrace Theater, and there will be a pre-show moderated conversation with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Bobby Sanabria, and Mark Horowitz starting at 5 p.m. The show takes place at the Terrace Theater on January 18, and tickets range from $35.00 to $40.00.
