The National Memorial Day Choral Festival at JFK Center for the Performing Arts

For many folks, Memorial Day means a parade and a well-deserved day off from work. But being in DC means that there are numerous ways to commemorate America’s fallen military servicemen and women, and remember the true meaning of the day. The JFK Center for the Performing Arts will mark the holiday with the National Memorial Day Choral Festival, a moving tribute to heroes from all conflicts dating back to the American Revolution.

The concert will feature choirs from all over the country, accompanied by the United States Air Force Orchestra under the leadership of Artistic Director Dr. Craig Jessop. Request tickets via the website for the 3 p.m. performance on Sunday, May 26. It promises to be a touching acknowledgement of the brave men and women who fought so valiantly to maintain our country’s freedom. To obtain a seat, simply fill out the request form on the website, and then pick up the tickets at the will call box office beginning at 1 p.m. the day of the show.
