Sept. 9 Near The Woodley: The Adams Morgan Day Festival
With its reputation for arts, entertainment, and culture, every day in Adams Morgan can feel a bit like a celebration–but on September 9, the Adams Morgan Day Festival will make it official. DC’s longest-running neighborhood festival will be celebrating its fourth decade with music, art, and attractions for the whole family, organized by volunteers from the Adams Morgan Community Alliance. Kicking off at noon and running until 6 pm, the festivities will take place in public spaces all along Columbia Road and 18th Street NW. The slate of performers and community discounts will be finalized in the coming weeks, but confirmed details so far include live music at Marie Reed Plaza, an Artists Alley exhibition, a Family Fun Zone provided by Volo City Kids Foundation, and history exhibits supported by both the DC Public Library and American University.
Follow the festival on social media or check out the website for more details. Admission is absolutely free and open to all.
