Snallygaster Brings Craft Brews and Much More to DC This Weekend
Whoever came up with the event name Snallygaster deserves some sort of creativity award. This self-proclaimed “Beastly Beer Jamboree” is taking over Pennsylvania Ave NW for the 8th year in a row from 2-6 p.m. on Oct. 12. The event boasts over 150 global brewers and over 400 beers to sample among them. The full list is online so you can take a peek at who you’ll want to visit – everyone from locals like Right Proper and 3 Stars to international producers like Mahr’s, there will also be some cideries if beer isn’t your thing.
You must buy your tickets online and unlike previous years, this year it’s an unlimited ticket. There are two options, the Basilisk pass for $100 which is the VIP option with 2-hour early entry, the other is the Kraken, entry starts at 2 p.m. for only $50. Both ticket options include unlimited tastings and a commemorative glass. No tickets will be sold at the door, and admission will likely sell out so don’t wait!
The best part about this event? It’s a fundraiser for a local non-profit, Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture, who is making a huge difference in our community.
